After all the helpings of grace, gratitude and gravy this Thanksgiving, please join us for Giving Tuesday - one of the biggest, boldest days for fundraising and service for the organizations and causes you care about! There are many ways to get involved and make a difference. The Northeast TMN is focusing its Giving Tuesday efforts on serving individuals both domestically and internally, who have been displaced by natural disasters, violence, or other causes out of their control.  Among our partners in this effort is the Salvation Army of Greater New York.   Together we'll be hosting a coat, hat, and mitten collection at their Briarwood Family Residence in Jamaica, NY.  Thrivent members, churches, and other like hearted Christians in the area are asked to collect these items and bring them to Briarwood on Tuesday, November 27 between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm.  We are also looking for volunteers to help us take in and sort the donated items as they're dropped off.  Please register here if you can: Collect items and drop them off at the Briarwood shelter (In addition to new or very gently used coats, hats, and mittens, they are also are in need of socks, shoes, pajamas, toiletries, and other related items.) Volunteer for a 3 hour shift at the Briarwood shelter to take in and sort the donated items    You can also help in this effort by use of a Thrivent Action Team, directing Thrivent Choice Dollars, or making a direct donation.  Learn more by visiting www.Thrivent.com/Northeast.
