Shake Shack at Madison Square Park
The popular, fast food chain- Shake Shack, known for its burgers, fries and of course shakes first started its business here at Madison Square Park! Shake Shack started as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation “I ❤ Taxi.” Due to its popular success, Shake Shack expanded its business throughout New York City. Whiteout Art Installation by Erwin Redl
This winter's commissioned public art project is curated by Austrian artist, Erwin Redl. Erwin Redl is best known for creating spectacular light projects on the facades of buildings. He brings a minimalist approach of using hundreds of white LED light to illuminate the dark during the late fall and winter seasons. The exhibit will be open to the public from November 16, 2017 - March 25, 2018. Please visit their official website.
Madison Square Holiday 2017
This year's Madison Square Park Holiday Tree lighting will take place on December 7, 2017, from 3:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. Gather around with friends and visitors to enjoy the free seasonal activities which include performances from The Sweetback Sisters, The New York Life Singers and Audra Rox and holiday treats provided by wagamama and Almond.
