  • Is there a gym in the hotel?

    The Evelyn Hotel offers a modern 24-hour fitness center complete with state-of-the-art cardio equipment, weight training machines, and a small area for floor work. We also offer day passes to 24-Hour Fitness Ultra-Sport Gym located on 5th Avenue, for only $25 a day.
  • Does The Evelyn Hotel offer valet parking?

    Yes, the hotel is pleased to offer overnight valet parking for guests for a fee of $50+ tax per night. There are no in and out privileges. For larger vehicles and SUV’s, an additional fee of $10 per night plus applicable taxes will be applied.   • Do the rooms have safes?

    Yes. All guest rooms and suites at The Evelyn Hotel come with a laptop compatible safe with a neon backlit digital display at no additional charge. If you need to store something larger, please contact the front desk for assistance.
  • Can third parties pay for guests staying in the hotel?

    Yes, it is possible to have someone pay for the room that won't be present at check-in.  We do require that a credit card authorization form be filled out from the person paying and sent to us electronically or by fax. Please contact us to acquire this form before check-in.
  • Is there a charge for making local calls? What about long-distance calls?

    The Evelyn Hotel charges a flat fee for all local calls of $1. Charges for international calls vary depending on country called, plus surcharges. Please note that the phone charge will start after the 4th ring, even if your correspondent doesn’t pick up.
  • When is checkout / check-in time?

    Check-in at The Evelyn is at 3:00 p.m. with checkout time at 12:00 p.m. For those arriving before 3:00 p.m., please check with the front desk to see if your room is available earlier. If not, we will gladly store your luggage upon arrival or after checkout so that you may enjoy your time in NYC.
  • Is there a place to store luggage before check-in or after checkout?

    Yes, The Evelyn Hotel offers a safe and secure room for hotel guests to store their luggage upon arrival or after checking out of their room. Our luggage storage service is complimentary for guests only.
  • What is the hotel's cancellation policy?

    We understand that things come up and that you may have to cancel your reservations. Individual (non-group) reservations may cancel 48 hours before check-in date without a fee. Any cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled arrival date will be charged one night’s stay. Please contact us if there are any concerns.

    Yes, The Evelyn is a 100% non-smoking hotel for your health and safety. Smoking is also prohibited in New York City restaurants, bars, and public spaces. If you are a smoker, we welcome you to our boutique hotel in NYC, but kindly ask that you smoke within 20 feet of our lobby doors.

    We're sorry, although we adore your furry companions, we must be considerate to all guests and therefore do not allow pets inside The Evelyn Hotel other than service animals. Updated paperwork must accompany each service animal at check-in.

    The Evelyn Hotel is home to three dining concepts and restaurants from acclaimed chef Jonathan Benno: Leonelli Taberna, a casual Roman-inspired trattoria with a craft cocktail bar and lounge; Leonelli Focacceria e Pasticceria, a bakery and café inspired by the great bakeries of Italy; and Benno, a fine dining restaurant serving upscale Mediterranean cuisine.   • Does the hotel offer room service?

    No, The Evelyn Hotel does not offer room service, however, there are two dining establishments inside our hotel and many eateries within walking distance that are open 24 hours a day. Our concierge and/or front desk staff are happy to provide suggestions based on your preferences.

    The Evelyn Hotel is perfectly situated within steps of NoMad’s burgeoning dining scene and some of NYC’s best restaurants. If you are seeking a splurge-worthy spot, O Ya serves sushi and omakase that is not to be missed.     If you need mail services while staying with us, there is a United States Postal Service (USPS) center right across the street from The Evelyn Hotel. There is also another post office located on 23rd Street between Lexington and Third Avenues for added convenience.

    There are pharmacies on every city block in Manhattan. The closest one to The Evelyn Hotel is Duane Reade, between 27th and 28th Streets on Park Avenue. There is also a Walgreens on East 23rd Street, between Park and Madison Avenues, and another Duane Reade on West 23rd Street and 5th Avenue.

    John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in Queens is 15.5 miles from The Evelyn Hotel, which takes 45 minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes, depending on traffic. The flat rate for cabs is $52, plus tolls and tip. Ubers and Lyfts run around $40.

    Although Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is in New Jersey, it is actually a few miles closer than JFK. However, with traffic it can take 90 minutes to two hours to get to. The set fare from NYC to Newark International Airport is the regular metered rate of fare, plus a $15 surcharge, plus tolls and tip, approximately $55 - 60. Ubers can get pricey, ranging from $44 to $85.

    LaGuardia Airport (LGA), also in Queens, is the closest airport to The Evelyn Hotel at just 9 miles away. It takes anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on time of day, and costs approximately $25 - 35. There is no set fare for trips to or from LaGuardia International Airport.   • Can I take public transportation from New York City to JFK airport?

    Getting to JFK from Manhattan is easy via public transportation’s AirTrain. At just $7.75 each way, it is the most economical way of getting there, however if carrying luggage, be prepared to carry it long distance. You can board the AirTrain in the airport and travel to either the Howard Beach Station, where you can catch the A Train, or Sutphan Boulevard Station, where you can catch the E, J or Z Train into Penn Station, located a few blocks from The Evelyn Hotel.
