Discover Why Everyone Loves The Evelyn

I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience at The Evelyn. My obsession with its Art Deco lounge — including its Frank Lloyd Wright-style stained-glass windows — began the moment I first saw it. It felt as though I’d been transported to the 1920s. Our room was small (but still big enough for two people), spotless, and charmingly decorated. I especially liked the teal armchair and the musical lyrics on the bathroom tiling. We enjoyed many a breakfast (coffee, pastries) from the first-floor cafe, and visited the ultra-classy speakeasy-style bar (The Tusk Bar) several times during our weeklong stay. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. Last but not least, the hotel is only a few blocks from Madison Square Park and the Empire State Building. I very much hope to return someday.

Absolutely FANTASTIC stay at The Evelyn. This was our first overnight in the city and we will be coming back for sure. The service was exceptional. We were celebrating our anniversary and received a complimentary upgrade!! Paul at the front desk was extremely helpful and informative when we first got here. Amal made our stay so accommodating. The hotel is in a great location in a five minute walk to Union Square Park. Lots of great restaurants in the vicinity. A complementary grab and go breakfast is great way to start your day off visiting the sites. The food was very tasty in the coffee was outstanding.

Wanted to highlight exceptional service of John V, the Assistant Front Office Manager. He provided good local knowledge, answered all of my questions, & helped us obtain merchandise for our daughter Evelyn.
