Centrally located and friendly staff. Renovations were underway but that did not interfere with our fun.

This hotel is undergoing renovation. However, it is a place that has a brilliant location just off 5 th avenue and is ideally located. Five minutes walk to the flat iron building, ten minutes from the empire state and many other sights. The rooms are small but well equipped with a nicely fired bathroom. The reception area is quirky and still holds the features of its previous life - hope they don't lose it during its renovation. Staff were friendly and helpful. In summary, great location, good value but needs a cafe and bar (they said they are on the way). Would stay there every time when I'm NY rather than the soul less large chain hotels.
